2024 Australian VET Sustainability Fellowships are open

Applications are open and close 31st May.

The VDC Australian VET Sustainability Fellowship for VET Practitioners looks to support and enhance sustainable practices in the VET sector. This involves researching what innovations are occurring overseas and what products, services or processes are being adopted to generate long term social and environmental benefits.

The International Specialised Skills Institute exists to encourage investment in specialised trades to address a skills shortage in Australia.

We work with artists, designers, technicians, educators, care workers, teachers and innovators to ensure specialised lines of work continue to flourish in Australia.

Fellowships

A Fellowship awards funds to talented individuals to travel overseas to learn more about their specialised trade. Fellowships create new connections, provide education and training, and address the skills gap in Australia.

Fellows travel overseas, to learn best practice and return to Australia to disseminate their learnings. Fellows assume a role of influencer, innovator and change-maker within their industry, growing their business and practice, often leading to more jobs in their sector.

The International Specialised Skills Institute publishes each Fellows report which are available to download. Each report is a tool to inform industry on the international context of best practice.
