Synopsis

Australian stained glass artist Hannah Maling explores traditional glass painting techniques and methods at Judson’s Studio in California. During this time, Maling investigates innovative approaches to the skills of painting on glass and how these can techniques can be applied in considerations of public art and a more diverse and inclusive future of stained glass in an Australian context.This report includes technical explanations for skills of painting on glass, detailed fieldtrips and conversations around artistic collaboration.
