Synopsis

In order to reinvigorate the TAFE sector plus add much need Industry 4.0 skills to the Australian workplace, a gap has been identified. This gap following research in both the European and Australian markets is centred on introducing a degree apprenticeship model to be offered by TAFE colleges and funded by government and industry.

This new model will not only change the training landscape of advanced manufacturing in Australia but alleviate the much needed skills shortage that Australia is facing. Having qualified engineering graduates that are job ready from day one is the goal of every great education institution and this new model achieves this goal with aplomb.
