Synopsis

This Fellowship Report details the examination of innovative and effective approaches, that enable student engagement and participation back into education and training pathways. It is inspired
by international modelling around the challenge of student reengagement and retention, and it explores the important role that Vocational Education Training (VET) can play in creating a more relevant and effective educational experience for disadvantaged learners. In particular, for those young people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, who are at risk or involved in the youth justice system.student engagement and participation back into education and training opportunities, and inspired
by international modelling around this challenge, it enabled the Fellow to explore what part
Vocational Education Training (VET) can play in creating a more relevant and effective educational
experience for disadvantaged learners, and particularly culturally and linguistically diverse young people at risk or involved in the youth justice system.
