Synopsis

It is currently difficult to gain skills and knowledge in training and assessment in the application of sustainability practices in the Australian upholstery industry. The report aims to uplift the Australian furnishing industry, soft furnishing manufacturers, upholstered furnishing manufacturers, upholsterers, furniture retailers, interior designers, furniture designers and furnishing industry teachers. The Fellow travelled to the U.S.A, U.K and Italy to discover the tangible benefits for the industry. With the report making recommendations to Federal, State and Local Government in Australia.
