Synopsis

Tracy Pearce’s ISSI Fellowship examined global Vocational Centre of Excellence models to inform Australia’s health and community VET sector. Through engagements and site visits, including the 2025 Forum of Vocational Excellence, the Fellowship contrasted the Erasmus+ networked approach and UK institution-based model, identifying transferable elements for Australian CoEs.
The Fellowship delivered two key outcomes: insights that underpin a best-practice CoE model for Bendigo Kangan Institute’s Health and Community CoE, and contributions to the broader Australian VET landscape—shaping policy, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation. This work positions Victoria as a leader in CoE implementation and aligns with National Skills Agreement priorities.
