Synopsis

The adoption of low-emission energy technologies is now essential to reduce greenhouse gas emission across the globe. Global warming and localised effects such as air quality and acid rain are linked to the burning of fossil fuels. The demand for electrical energy (generally obtained from coal, oil or natural gas) will continue to grow and the use of LPG/petrol/diesel as fuel for motor vehicles will further compound the problem.
