Commedia Nuova: New Pedagogical & Performative Approaches for Contemporary Australia

The Fellow, Rosa Campagnaro, is a teaching artist, theatre director and founder of Make A Scene
- a theatre arts education company specialising in Commedia dell’Arte - performances, workshops
and actor training. The international leg of this Fellowship was undertaken in October 2022 in Northern Italy: Venice, Padua and Milan. The Fellow undertook three weeks of intensive practical performance workshops
with Giovanni Fusetti [Helikos, Padua] and later with Carlo Boso [Atelier Teatro, Milan]. She
conducted research at the Biblioteca di Studi Teatrali di Casa Goldoni, [Venice, Italy] and continued
her research through exclusive access to the Helikos library of performance books, resources and
mask artefacts.
