Synopsis

We can see investment by government and schools in preparing students technically for the growing range of vocations that preset in our skill shortages and workforce needs. Our learning from overseas jurisdictions is more about the culture of workplaces that support the transition from school or learning vocations to the workplace and sustainable uplift to contribute to that industry. In the pages following I explore the facets of American intern system that can be retrofitted to our transition processes and support for sustainable workforces. Youth in our Australian system require a mentoring approach and support, particularly in the transition phase to support our emerging workforce leaders.
