Synopsis

The report explores strategies for delivering accredited and bespoke training to support Victoria's mega infrastructure projects under the Big Build initiative. It highlights the importance of aligning training with project phases and collaborating closely with lead contractors. International approaches are examined, identifying key factors found in effective collaborations focused on:

- Industry-education partnerships,
- Workforce development models,
- Investment in capability,
- and access to specialist skill development.

Effective collaboration among contractors, traning providers, OEMs, regulators, and government is essential. Early engagement of training providers in project planning ensures that education and training meet evolving project needs across all stages.
