Celebrating a Decade of Leadership, and Welcoming Our New Chair

  • Feb 17
  • 1 min read

Last night we had the privilege of celebrating Professor Amalia Di Iorio AM, who has served as Chair of the ISS Institute Board for more than ten years. Throughout this decade, Amalia has been an outstanding leader, guiding the organisation with wisdom, steadiness and optimism, even through the most challenging periods, including COVID 19 pandemic and the global travel bans that directly affected our core work.

Amalia has been instrumental in strengthening the ISS Institute’s profile, expanding our impact, and championing the value of applied research and international skills development. We are extremely grateful for her unwavering support and mentorship.

As we celebrate Amalia’s remarkable contribution, we are also delighted to welcome Dr Bill Petreski as our new Chair. We look forward to continuing our work under Bill’s leadership as we build on a strong foundation shaped by Amalia’s exceptional stewardship.
