The ISS Institute is delighted to celebrate two of our 2025 George Alexander Foundation Fellows, Marlo Lyda and Jordan Fleming, who have been recognised in the prestigious VL50 2026 by Vogue Living.

The annual VL50 honours a dynamic cross-section of Australia’s leading designers, architects and creatives shaping the national conversation and extending Australian design influence internationally. To see two of our Fellows acknowledged in this cohort is both a proud moment and a testament to the impact of their practices.

Marlo Lyda’s practice is grounded in a deep sensitivity to material and process. Working with reclaimed, remnant and unconventional resources, she challenges uniformity and embraces variation as a design strength. Following a significant year that included participation in the Rigg Design Prize at the National Gallery of Victoria and completion of her George Alexander Fellowship, Marlo continues to expand her practice through new collaborations and international opportunities.

Jordan Fleming’s inclusion recognises the impact of her collaborative work with Rosanna Ceravolo, where architectural structure meets interior precision. Their recent exhibition at Oigåll Projects and ongoing presentations, including at the Melbourne Art Fair, reflect a practice that is conceptually rigorous and materially refined.

We warmly congratulate Marlo and Jordan on this well-deserved recognition. Their inclusion in VL50 2026 reflects the calibre, curiosity and commitment that define the 2025 GAF Fellowship cohort.
